With our mentoring program, you have the ability to schedule a phone meeting with one of our experienced travel agents and Agent Support Representatives. They can share with you their personal experiences of what works…and what doesn’t work. They will work with you in putting together your own personal plan for success, help you determine your area of specialty, choosing suppliers, developing activity and review which marketing options will work best for you.

That’s why we put together exciting trips called “FAM Trips” which is short for familiarization trips. These are generally very low cost trips offered in partnership with one of our preferred suppliers. FAM Trips are “working trips” designed to allow you to experience the resorts and destinations, giving you the education and confidence to return home excited and ready to make new bookings. But they are also about having fun and networking with other travel agents just like you!

Compass Travel Academy
Compass Travel Academy is a program within KHM Travel Group that is an option for our travel agents who desire more than the initial training that we provide to be one of our home-based agents. Compass Travel Academy is a comprehensive educational program designed to expand your knowledge of the world around you, as it relates to travel, as well as a more in-depth look at how the travel industry works. It combines a unique variety of textbook, workbook and online learning. It also includes custom-designed Compass Points exercises, which replicate real-world travel agent tasks.
Upon completion of the program, you will be prepared to take the Travel Agent Proficiency (TAP) test. This test is a prerequisite to those who seek the higher certifications in the travel industry, the Certified Travel Associate (CTA) or Certified Travel Counselor.
