Getting information and your value across to potential clients is one of the biggest challenges that you will face while operating your business. How do you stand out with the information overload we all face every day? One of the most effective ways is through video marketing.

Chances are, you are already using social media to promote your business on Facebook, Instagram, and/or Twitter. Adding video to your marketing on these platforms can make you and the content you are sharing stand out.

Videos generate more attention and interaction than any other content online — especially on social media. Social video generates 1200% more shares than text posts and images combined.

Additionally, 78% of internet users in the U.S. watch online video content, and this number is projected to increase. Best of all, the information you deliver through video is more memorable for your viewers and potential clients. Viewers retain 95% of a message when they watch it in a video compared to 10% retention when reading it in a text format.

Your time is one of your most valuable resources, and video can be very time-consuming. That’s why Facebook Live can be a time — and cost — effective solution.

Facebook Live has additional advantages as well. Creating a live broadcast can help you connect with your prospects and community in a whole new way, making your brand more real, relatable, and accessible. It also creates an organic sense of urgency, fosters interaction, and shows your value in real-time.

The idea of going live can be exciting, but also very intimidating. That’s okay! The only way you’re going to feel more confident is to practice.

Tips for a Great Video:

  • Create and practice your script.
  • Find a quiet place you can control to record.
  • Keep it short and sweet.
  • Make your content professional and unique.

Steps to Go Live:

  • Go to facebook.com.
  • Log into your Facebook account.
  • Make sure you are on your business page.
  • Go to “Make Post/Publish”
  • Select “Start a Live Video.”
  • Make sure it is posting to your business page.
  • Make sure the video is listed as “Public.”
    • You can change this to “Only Me” for practice videos while you get more comfortable.
  • Add a video description.
  • Click “Start Live Video.”
  • Click “Finish” when are complete.
  • Click “Post” to make it public.

Using video to show your value will have a lasting impression on your viewers and help them get to know and trust you. For more tips on going live, visit the Agent Portal!
