Our Live Educational Events
Your travel knowledge and expertise is essential to gaining clients, establishing their trust and building your business. We host live educational events exclusively for our travel agents to complement our online educational courses and ongoing webinars. We understand that some people like a hands-on approach to training and that is why we have developed Boot Camp. Boot Camp is our designed to walk that gives you the personal attention and direction to kickstart your business. These three-day events are held several times a year in Ohio and are limited to 50 agents.
These three days are packed with great information, and even more importantly, the chance to build rapport with the KHM Travel Group staff and other independent travel agents. We want you to leave Boot Camp with the knowledge to get you excited about your business, and get you prepared to start booking your clients’ dream vacations.
Destination Success Conference & Trade Show
At Destination Success, we bring together some of the industry’s leading suppliers to provide product and sales seminars exclusively for KHM Travel Group Agents. Members of the KHM Travel Group Staff also present special marketing and social media workshops to help you grow your business. There’s plenty of time to socialize, network with fellow agents and KHM Travel Group staff, and get feedback and tips to better run your business.
Crystal Conference and Awards
KHM Travel Group’s premier event each year is our Crystal Conference and Awards, in which we bring together our agents, suppliers, and staff to celebrate our accomplishments of the previous year, and keep the momentum going for the year ahead!
Several times a week, we host live webinars with our top suppliers. These interactive, online presentations cover a variety of topics including the newest product and itinerary updates, instructions on how to use supplier booking engines/websites, proven sales techniques, and marketing suggestions. These sessions give you the opportunity to learn more about our suppliers and ask Business Development Managers questions about the products you sell.
In addition to the webinars presented by our suppliers, our Agent Development team also offers special webinars on topics like increasing your prospect list, managing your time wisely, setting up a marketing plan, or choosing an area of specialization.
KHM Travel Group knows that experiencing an all-inclusive resort is the best way to sell it to your clients. That’s why we put together learning opportunities called FAM (familiarization) trips. FAMs are discounted trips offered in partnership with our Preferred Suppliers. Visit this link to learn more about FAM trips.
These working trips are designed to give you first-hand experience of multiple resorts and destinations, and give you the education and confidence to return home excited and ready to make bookings. They are also about having fun and networking with other home-based travel agents just like you!
Seminars at Sea
Not all agents specialize in land-based trips. Many agents specialize in cruises or want to start selling cruises. These FAM trips are known as Seminars at Sea. These educational trips allow you to experience being at sea, visit multiple destinations and of course, take part in cruise-specific learning sessions.
