In the past year, the KHM Travel blog has featured more than a dozen of our unique, hard-working travel agents. While our business revolves around the needs and wants of our travel agents, there is another group of people that we really couldn’t live without. They are our Preferred Supplier Partners!
Since our featured travel agent posts have been so successful, we’ve decided to showcase the supplier representatives we work with closely to ensure our travel agents have the best opportunities (and commission!) in the business.
This month we are celebrating Mark Travel Madness, so it is only appropriate that our first KHM Travel Group Supplier Spotlight feature the lovely ladies we work with from The Mark Travel Corporation.
Lisa Tinnerman is Mark Travel’s Regional Director for HOST Accounts in the East Region. She got her start in the industry right after college, as an inside salesperson for Alamo Rent A Car.
Charla Francis, our Business Development Manager Associate, also has an extensive background in the travel biz and with The Mark Travel Corporation. Almost seventeen years ago, she began working as an airport representative for Funjet’s charter flights out of Dallas/Fort Worth airport. For 11 years, she managed Funjet’s staff and ground handlers for multiple airports in Texas.
After a brief stint in sales, she worked in the group department for four years, and is now back on the sales team!

“Bill does not have to answer to shareholders or any other business partner or investor, which allows him to put travel agents first,” says Charla.
For both Charla and Lisa, job satisfaction means helping others grow their businesses. One of the main keys to selling The Mark Travel Family of Brands is understanding what each brand offers and finding what works for a specific travel client.
“Ask lots of questions to your clients to understand the experience they are looking for,” says Lisa. “Our family of brands has something for everyone.”
According to Charla, one way that KHM Travel shows its commitment to its agents is by maintaining relationships with exemplary suppliers like Mark Travel. “Work with a host that does business with reputable tour operators and puts the agent first,” she says. “KHM has many options for training on the vendors that they offer as preferred and includes the higher commission.”
