“Karisma has raised the bar on all-inclusives.”

Gilberto Machain from Karisma Resorts couldn’t have been more right when he said that at last Thursday’s Gourmet Inclusive® Experience training in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

During the Karisma FAM last week, 20 KHM Travel Group Agents, along with KHM Travel Group’s  Marie Smith, Beth Klubnik, Katie Smotek and Michelle Bakula, were treated to a culinary and luxury experience unlike any other.

This action-packed FAM was truly a nonstop adventure of all that Karisma has to offer. The host resort was the All-Butler, All-Suite, All-Gourmet Generations Riviera Maya. While there wasn’t much time to spare, everyone managed to find a few hours to enjoy the huge pool (which spanned the length of the resort!) and the high-quality service that came with having a butler on hand to cater to your every need.

Wednesday was the busiest of all the days with a jam-packed schedule that included resort tours at El Dorado Royale, El Dorado Casitas Royale, Azul Beach, Azul Sensatori, and El Dorado Maroma. Highlights of these tours included a stop at the on-site greenhouse at El Dorado Royale, visits to each of the properties’ restaurants and spas, a surprise appearance from SpongeBob & Patrick at Azul Beach, and a sneak peek at the over-the-water suites being built at El Dorado Maroma. These unique accommodations will be the first of their kind in Mexico!

In between site inspections of all of the Karisma properties in Mexico, agents and staff were delighted with culinary masterpieces at every meal. Food that looked so good you didn’t want to eat it led to a new ritual of snapping a photo before digging in.

Thursday started off with the Gourmet Inclusive Experience training with Gilberto Machain. This presentation brought everything together and provided an overview of the little touches that make Karisma properties so special.

The day wrapped up with a site inspection at Azul Fives, and a late afternoon tour of El Dorado Seaside Suites–one of the world’s most romantic resorts. KHM Travel Group Agents were able to get an exclusive sneak peek at the new section of the resort, which is scheduled to open in November 2015. Even though it was still under construction, everyone was already blown away by the new lobby and restaurants.

The FAM trip ended with an amazing farewell dinner at the Santa Fe Grill at El Dorado Royale, where agents dined on fresh salmon and braised short rib ‘au jus.’

With cameras and smartphones full of photos and memories, the agents returned home on Friday with new expertise, friendships, and plenty of firsthand experience to share with clients!
