Communication is the name of the game, especially when it comes to staying connected with our travel agents this year. Luckily, social media helps us keep our followers up to date on KHM Travel Group and the latest news in the travel industry. As we wrap up another year, let’s take a look back at what our social media has helped us accomplish in 2020.
Vacation Vision Campaign
We started off the year with the launch of our Vacation Vision campaign. Inspired by the idea of 2020 vision, we asked travel agents and travelers where they envisioned themselves setting off to. Through videos and graphics, we hope this campaign inspired others to dream of travel all year long…even when we couldn’t go much farther than our living rooms!
We Will Travel Again Video
As the COVID-19 pandemic paused travel across the world, we found ourselves looking for hope. Together with our travel industry partners and travel agents, our team shared their hope for the future in our Keeping the Dream of Travel Alive video. This video reminds everyone that we will travel again.
Our Commitment to Diversity and Representation
Our Diversity and Inclusion team has been hard at work all year. They created graphics that feature people of all religions, races, abilities, and identities within the LGBTQ+ spectrum. As the country witnessed an outpouring of sadness and frustration, we published our formal statement on standing for equality. We also partnered with Travel Professionals of Color to better listen to and act on the needs of people of color in the travel industry.
Core Values and Our 15th Anniversary
In March, KHM Travel Group celebrated our 15th anniversary! One of the ways we recognized this milestone is through our Core Values video series and graphics. These helped us put into words what we often refer to as our secret sauce and shed light on how our team relies on our Core Values to navigate the ever-changing waters of the travel industry.
Facebook Lives
We went live! Our Facebook Lives helped us share what it’s like to be a travel agent. From booking Group Travel to using social media, we covered topics that matter to those considering a role in the travel industry and new agents. We also hosted regular Facebook Lives in our private groups to share the most up to date policies and requirements with our agents. These kept agents informed in the middle of an unprecedented time of cancellations, pauses, and restrictions.
Our Incredible Communities
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn have helped us to stay connected with our agents, industry partners, and travel lovers across the country. These incredible communities empowered us to work together, even when we couldn’t be in the office.
