Los Cabos Captivates KHM Travel Agents on Apple Vacations FAM

July 11th-14th, a group of 20 KHM Travel Agents and our West Coast Support Specialist, Ilma Abelyan, traveled to Los Cabos for our Apple Vacations FAM!
The area of Los Cabos, or “the tips,” is named for its location at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. While it is in Mexico, it’s a world apart from the country’s other hot spots like Cancun and Puerto Vallarta.

Tina Tiano, our Apple Vacations BDM, and a coordinator from Amstar Destination Management Company, led the group through site inspections at nine resorts around Los Cabos, including their beautiful host hotel, Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas.
The other resorts they toured included:

- Me Cabo
- JW Marriott Los Cabos
- Barceló Grand Faro Los Cabos
- Sheraton Hacienda Del Mar
- Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos
- Riu Santa Fe
The agents enjoyed each resort they visited, and were able to learn what makes each one unique for their clients, says Ilma.

“One resort that really did surprise me was the Sandos Finisterra. When you first walk into this resort you only see couple of pools and restaurants,” she adds. “But once you start touring the resort, you keep going up on a cliff with breathtaking views of the beach and marina from restaurants.”

Each of the guestrooms also feature stunning views of the Pacific Ocean or the Marina on San Lucas Bay.
In addition to site inspections, the agents also mingled and enjoyed delicious meals at Breathless Los Cabos and Dreams Los Cabos, along with the farewell dinner at Riu Santa Fe.

One of the most important takeaways from this trip was experiencing the difference between Los Cabos’ two popular tourist towns, Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.
“San Jose del Cabo has the more established ambience, with sophisticated shopping and art galleries,” Ilma says. “While Cabo San Lucas has the fun-loving beach scene and nightlife.”
Ilma recommends that clients visiting Los Cabos should check what both areas have to offer.
