Preferred Supplier Spotlight: Nora Berna of Classic Vacations

Many of our travel agents might not have worked with Classic Vacations, but they’ve been dedicated to helping travel professionals create exceptional vacation experiences for more than 30 years.
Our Business Development Manager, Nora Berna, has been a part of the Classic Vacations team for 21 years. However, she got her start on the retail side of travel, so she is very well-versed in the needs of travel agents.
“I loved selling the world to my clients and felt like a “Dream Maker” being able to create so many wonderful memories that could last a lifetime for my clients,” says Nora.
Her favorite part of her current position as BDM is getting to meet travel agents and agencies in her territory, and developing new partnerships with them.
Classic Vacations may be a relatively new supplier for KHM Travel Group, but Nora says she’s thrilled to see more and more agents turning to Classic for their luxury clients.
“The agents at KHM Travel Group are so open to learn and grow in their travel knowledge through suppliers,” Nora says. “I can’t thank all of you enough for giving us the opportunity to share with you the Classic Difference!”
Nora also points out that host agencies like KHM Travel are dedicated to growing agents’ businesses through ongoing trainings and marketing resources, which is a valuable advantage for those pursuing a travel career.
As for Classic Vacations’ products, they are primarily a land supplier but also offer a few specialty cruises like scenic river cruises in Europe, Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America, Paul Gauguin cruises to Tahiti as well as private yacht charters in Mexico and the Caribbean.
Classic also has a dedicated Group Department that specializes in Destination Wedding groups, Corporate Incentives and Multi-Generational family groups. Nora says they work with any type of group, from a minimum of six rooms to a complete buyout of a hotel.
Nora and the Classic Vacations team are experts at helping agents customize and upsell trips to their clients.
“Classic Vacations reservation agents are consultative in that if you are selling a destination or hotel that you are not comfortable or familiar with, we will recommend the best offers and values and assist you with all travel arrangements,” Nora says.
