Looking for a new point of view on cruising? Carnival’s newest ship, the Horizon, is debuting this month…but let’s not forget about the Vista, the first of the cruise line’s class of ships of the same name.
As with all Carnival ships, the number and variety of activities onboard seem limitless, no matter the age of your clients. Check out these innovative features on the Vista that will give your clients a new perspective on cruising!
1. SkyRide
Carnival describes this high-flying attraction as “a bit like riding a bike — you’ll never forget it.” On SkyRide, guests pedal themselves around a course suspended high above the deck, which even ventures out over the water. They can chose to leisurely meander through the course, or challenge their fellow rider to a race. Fun fact: SkyRide was actually developed by the same person who invented roller blades!
2. IMAX Experience and Thrill Theater
The ultimate escape from the real world can be found right inside the world’s first IMAX at sea on the Vista. Spanning three decks, the theater shows the latest Hollywood hits, as well as classics designed to show off IMAX’s technology. The adjoining Thrill Theater offers an exhilarating 4-D experience designed to get guests’ heart rates up, and their blood pumping.
3. The Outdoor Seating Options
An ocean view is the perfect complement to any meal! Many of Vista’s restaurants and cafés feature some outdoor seating, so cruisers can enjoy everything from their morning coffee to their after-dinner ice cream treat al fresco.
4. The Onboard Brewery
Although eight Carnival ships boast a Key West-inspired RedFrog Pub, the Vista is the very first cruise ship with a working brewery on board. Saddle up to the bar for a pint of one of Carnival’s signature craft beers, like the ThirstyFrog® Caribbean Wheat or the FriskyFrog™ Java Stout. True beer buffs should also ask about taking a brewery tour with the brewmaster!
5. The Havana Cabanas
With the Vista, Carnival drew upon the colorful, lively vibes of its popular Havana Bar, and turned a section of the ship into a Cuban-inspired oasis. A stay at one of the limited number of cabanas offers more privacy, swinging chairs and exclusive access (during the day) to a separate pool area, bar and palapa-topped tables.
