2022 was the year that we returned to the places we love around the globe. After a few years of paused travel plans, we were ready to get back out and explore the world with our travel agents. Read our 2022 travel recap to see a few of the destinations our team visited in the past 12 months.
Regal Princess Seminar at Sea – March
32 KHM Travel Group Agents attended this educational cruise, which was led by Karen, our Lead Compliance and Resolution Specialist. Highlights included ports of call Amber Cay and Grand Turk. Plus, there was an informative seminar led by Princess Cruises. Read more about Karen’s experience here.
Crystal Conference Preview Cruise – April
Beth, Ashley, and Alyssa from the Events Team took a preview of our 2023 Crystal Conference itinerary on Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas. They explored the ship and ports we will visit including Nassau, Bahamas; Falmouth, Jamaica; and Labadee, Haiti.
Disneyland Social Media FAM – April
Sara from the Marketing Team was invited to Disneyland just as the mask mandates were relaxed and nighttime activities returned, including World of Color and the 50th anniversary of the Electrical Parade! She was able to capture great photos of the hotel, spa, California Adventure Park, mobility & inclusive imagery, special limited-time merchandise, rides, food and overall culture at the park and resorts.
Travel Leaders Network EDGE Conference in Colorado – June
Several of our team members joined KHM Travel Group Agents and 1,500 attendees for our consortia’s annual EDGE Conference. Taking place at the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center in Aurora, the event was four days of learning and networking to get our “edge” back! We hosted a Meet and Greet before the conference and enjoyed sitting together at the General Sessions each day.

Travel Agent Forum in Las Vegas – June
This industry event held at Caesar’s Palace provided agents with the opportunity to connect with each other and some of the top travel suppliers in the industry. KHM Travel Group hosted a trade show booth and our first “On the Concourse” event at the Forum this year. Our VP of Agent Engagement, Bill, also served as a panelist.
Advisory Board Trip: 7-Night Dutch Sights and Belgian Delights Cruise – July
Hosted by Scenic, our 2022 Agent Advisory Board members and KHM Travel Group team members traveled through Amsterdam and Belgium. Highlights included the city tours in Amsterdam, Dordrecht, Veere, Antwerp, Arnhem, and Hoorn. From the picturesque, quaint countryside to the vibrant, contemporary cities, this itinerary truly has something for everyone. Our Advisory Board participated in a meetings with our Executive Team and sales presentations by Scenic and Emerald.
Delta Vacations University in Atlanta – September
Almost 100 KHM Travel Group Agents attended DVU at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA. This is one of the top industry events, with 2 full days of travel agent education. The theme of DVU this year was “Experience. Connections. Go Beyond.”
About 50 KHM Travel Agents attended our exclusive “On the Concourse” event the day before DVU, where Bill and members of the KHM Travel Group Team helped agents discover the KHM Travel Group benefits and resources that are available to them.
Karisma FAM in Riviera Maya, Mexico – September
Cinda from our Agent Support Team joined 10 KHM Travel Group Agents for a Weddings and Group Specialist FAM in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Hosted by Karisma Resorts, the group toured 7 resorts in 2 days, including a hard hat tour at Margaritaville’s Island Reserve which opens in early 2023. They stayed at El Dorado Royale Resort.
American Queen Voyages Mississippi River Cruise – December
A group of agents joined our VP of Sales Geoff on an amazing trip down the Mississippi on the luxurious and largest steamship in world–the American Queen! The group enjoyed 7 days traveling down the Mississippi from Memphis to New Orleans. They experienced a one-night stay at the legendary Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Graceland, the Grammy Awards Museum, the largest Plantation in LA (Nottoway), and many more amazing sites. The high point was a private VIP biscuit cooking class with world renown chef Regina Charboneau in Natchez, MS.
Wonder of the Seas Inaugural – December
To round out our 2022 travel recap, select travel agents were invited to sail aboard the Wonder of the Seas for a 2-day inaugural season event. We boarded the world’s largest cruise ship in Port Canaveral, and sailed to Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas! We also toured staterooms, including a wheelchair accessible balcony cabin, and met with our BDM, Kathy Killen, Sales Director Anthony Meloro, and Director of Accessibility, Ron Petit!
