What is KHM Travel Group’s Boot Camp Really Like?

If you’re an agent with KHM Travel Group or someone who’s been following along with our journey, you’ve probably heard about one of our most popular live events, Boot Camp. Boot Camp is a four-day educational event designed to give agents a jumpstart on mastering the world of booking travel.
We often hear from those agents who attended how Boot Camp boosts their confidence and empowers them to take the next steps in growing their travel businesses. For our team, Boot Camp is also an important part of getting to know our agents on a more personal level and connect with them. We’ve been excited to host our final Boot Camp event of 2019 on November 5-9.
We were lucky to have a small group of our team members join our agents at Boot Camp, so we asked them to share some of their impressions and takeaways.
Paris from our Technology team said that he was impressed by the presentations that our travel suppliers gave, like Carnival’s presentation on their new ship, the Mardi Gras. He also mentioned that the presentations that the Education Team and our supplier partners gave helped him and the attending agents get a better understanding of the destinations and products.
Erin, who is also on our Technology Team, felt that her experience at Boot Camp helped her to better understand the travel industry and our agents.
“I gained a lot of insights into the business and how our agents work and think. I met a lot of great people and learned so much, so I feel like I’m much better prepared to assist our teams and agents.”

Sarah from our Marketing team remarked that she found the last day of Boot Camp particularly empowering.
“I really enjoyed the last day of Boot Camp because it includes a variety of topics such as Compliance, Marketing and a Business Mindset Panel for agents to get all of their questions answered…Every agent that I talked to seemed to be “on fire” for their business, full of inspiration and motivation to be successful!”

One of our Membership Specialists, Tiffany shared that for her the most exciting part was watching the way that agents were able to connect with one another.
“Being around the agents, getting to know a lot of them, and forming friendships with them was the best part [for me].”

Joanne, a member of our Group team also attended. Though she has worked in the travel industry for many years, she found great value in this event.
