What’s one of the best ways to boost sales with a resort or hotel chain? By experiencing them firsthand! Our FAM trips allow for real, in-person learning. A FAM (short for familiarization) is an exclusive travel agent trip with special itineraries and pricing. They allow agents to visit popular destinations, giving them firsthand knowledge and confidence to use when talking to a client. Agent eligibility and requirements vary for each FAM trip.
Because of our supplier relationships, we offer agents several FAM opportunities throughout the year. And our FAM attendees return ready to sell more…a win-win-win situation for suppliers, agents, and their clients!
Some of the KHM Travel Group exclusive FAM trips we’ve hosted recently include: Karisma Margaritaville Riviera Maya, Majestic Elements Punta Cana, Azul Beach Resort Negril by Karisma, Iberostar Joia Aruba, and Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres, just to name a few.
In September 2024, we launched our own Walt Disney World Boot Camp. Attendees joined members of our Education and Engagement Teams for a hands-on learning with the parks, resorts, dining, and technology.
Our experience extends to other hotels as well. For our 2025 Crystal Conference, we teamed up with both Hilton and Universal Orlando for a memorable event celebrating our landmark 20th anniversary.
Our Marketing teams have also visited Inclusive Collection, part of Hyatt Hotels & Resorts; Secrets Resorts; and Sandals Resorts for the purpose of gathering photo, video, social media, and blog content that our agents could use in their own marketing efforts.
