KHM Travel Group Partners with Travel Professionals of Color

With a shared vision of assisting travel professionals, KHM Travel Group and Travel Professionals of Color (TPOC) have established a partnership to amplify their efforts to recognize African American, Hispanic, Asian American, and Native American travel agents. Through this partnership, travel agents interested in joining either organization will have access to discounts on membership and other exclusive benefits.
Seeing a need for minority representation and inclusion for all in the travel industry, KHM Travel Group’s independent agents and corporate team members created the host agency’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee in 2017. Together, this group of volunteer members seek ways to increase the representation of agents and clients within KHM Travel Group and the travel industry as a whole.
“KHM Travel Group is excited to partner with Travel Professionals of Color in order to enhance the marketing and travel experiences for all people as a result of our combined efforts. Our Diversity and Inclusion Committee is committed to effecting change in our communities and actively working to build a culture that respects and embraces diversity, inclusion, and equality,” said KHM Travel Group’s Business Optimization Executive and Diversity and Inclusion Committee leader Craig Freeman.
The work of TPOC has been impactful in the travel community since the association was founded in 2002. Through events and educational opportunities, TPOC and its active members support and spotlight travel industry professionals, destinations, and multi-cultural tourism of African Americans, Hispanics, Asian Americans, and Native Americans.
“We are looking forward to the partnership with KHM Travel Group. We feel that KHM Travel Group will be a great fit for our members who may be in need of a host agency,” said TPOC President Betty Jones.
TPOC Board Member Mary Brantley added, “We welcome the opportunity to partner with KHM Travel Group and be able to offer our members additional education, tools, and technology as agents continue to build their businesses.”
