Our In-Person Education and Professional Development Events for Travel Agents

Travel is an ever-changing industry and for some people, hands-on learning is the best way to immerse themselves in their new travel agent career. KHM Travel Group hosts several different educational and professional development opportunities to complement our online learning courses. These events are designed specifically for our agents, and each one offers different courses and different takeaways for travel agents.

Our goal is to offer events for travel agents at every stage of their business, and we are continuously enhancing our lineup. Learn more about our travel agent events below.



Boot Camp provides new agents and those looking to re-invest in their business with hands-on learning. These four days are packed with the practical information agents need to set a solid foundation for their business. Additionally, they have the chance to build rapport with the KHM Travel Group team, suppliers, and other independent travel agents. Boot Camps are held several times a year in Northeast Ohio and are also available virtually through our live streaming technology. 


Are you ready to take the next steps in your travel business? Have you established your business and started to develop your sales? Then Boot Camp 2.0 is the event for you! 

Boot Camp 2.0 is designed to help more experienced agents gain knowledge and confidence of new markets, destinations, and products. It introduces agents to business growth models to help them determine which path is right for them. We welcome agents who have reached $5,000 in paid commission within the calendar year (our Basecamp level) to attend Boot Camp 2.0.


There’s never been a better time to master the profitable realm of group travel.  From all-inclusive resort getaways, popular cruise journeys, European adventures and upscale niche cruising, group travel is in high demand. Group Camp is where our group travel experts and supplier partners dive into the profitable niche of group travel! Discover how to grow your business while curating unforgettable shared experiences for your clients. 


At Destination Success, we bring together some of the industry’s leading suppliers to provide product and sales seminars exclusively for KHM Travel Group Agents. Destination Success offers agents the chance to expand their range and knowledge of suppliers in a variety of formats, including the popular trade show. 

There’s plenty of time to socialize, network with fellow agents and KHM Travel Group team members, and get tips from suppliers to increase your sales. 


The Luxury Symposium was developed for KHM Travel Group Agents who are ready to understand the luxury travel market and offer a luxury product to their clientele with confidence. The Luxury Symposium will help you gain, convert, and retain upmarket clients. With the help of our supplier partners, you’ll also get to know luxury products, including which client is best for each.   


KHM Travel Group’s premier travel agent event is our Crystal Conference. We bring together our agents, suppliers, and staff to celebrate our accomplishments and keep the momentum going for the year ahead. Our Crystal Conference is an event that’s the perfect mixture of inspiration, education, and fun. At Crystal, you’ll meet new friends and share your passion for travel with others just like you. In 2025, we’ll be celebrating in Orlando on March 2-6. 


During this event, Vice President of Agent Engagement Bill Coyle and members of the team help agents discover the best benefits, events, and resources. All attendees also receive a personalized sales report. Bill shares his techniques to help agents analyze their sales and focus on the areas that can propel them to the next step in your Agent Journey. On the Concourse events take place in various cities across the United States throughout the year. 


We know that travel agents love to travel. We also know that experiencing a destination is the best way to sell it to your clients. That’s why we offer learning opportunities called FAM (familiarization) trips. FAMs are discounted trips offered in partnership with our Preferred Suppliers. Because of our strong relationships with suppliers, we frequently offer FAM trips to our agents. 

These working trips are designed to give you firsthand experience of multiple resorts and destinations. They will also give you the education and confidence to return home excited and ready to make bookings. You can learn more about FAM trips here. 


Not all agents specialize in land-based trips. Many agents specialize in cruises or want to start selling cruises. These FAM trips are known as Seminars at Sea. These educational trips allow you to experience being at sea, visit multiple destinations, and also take part in cruise-specific learning sessions.
