Off to a Running Start: Our 2019 Half-Year in Review

It’s hard to believe that we’re already half-way through 2019. KHM Travel Group has had a busy first half of the year, and we’re excited to look back at everything our agents have accomplished so far this year.
The year began with our first annual KHM Travel Agent Census. In the Census, we asked our agents to share insights on their business and tell us how we can continue to improve what we offer. We were thrilled with the response, and the feedback we gathered has helped us implement changes in MyTravelAgentPortal and in other areas of our support.
In February, it was off to Los Angeles where over 350 independent travel agents, travel suppliers, guests, and KHM Travel Group Team Members came together aboard the Ruby Princess for the 2019 Crystal Conference and Awards. This year we focused on empowering agents with the theme, Take Action: People, Purpose, Passion. As we sailed to Cabo San Lucas, agents attended sessions with KHM Travel Group team members and our travel suppliers and even had the chance to meet Gavin MacLeod, who played Captain Stubing on The Love Boat.
We followed up the Crystal Conference with our first two Boot Camps of the year. In March, 35 travel agents joined us in Ohio, and we were thrilled to have another 39 travel agents participate in our May event. At both of these Boot Camps, agents learned from our team and travel suppliers about the keys to running a travel business, finding clients, and the basics of booking travel.
In April, we shared our love for travel with the world with our video, Your Adventure Begins. In this video, we aimed to capture the wonder, excitement, and passion that comes with exploring the world and the important role that our travel agents play in helping the travel dreams of many become a reality.
We also continued to share the Exclusive Agent Benefits that KHM Travel Agents receive when they join KHM Travel Group through our video series. Geoff, our Vice President of Sales shared how we recognize agents through our Basecamp and Pinnacle programs. Lisa, our Senior Vice President of Operations, explained how our Agent Support team works with agents of every skill level as they come across questions in their travel businesses. Carolyn, our Creative Marketing Director, discussed the resources we provide for agents to market their travel business and grow their network of clients.
On the Travel Weekly Power List, we claimed the 48th spot! We are honored to be counted among the incredible list of leaders in the travel industry, and it’s all thanks to the hard work of our independent travel agents. Thank you to everyone who has made the first half of this year so exciting. We can’t wait to see what the rest of 2019 holds for us! #KHMRocks
