What’s New On Board the Ruby Princess?

Since her inaugural cruise on November 8, 2008, the Ruby Princess has become one of the most loved ships sailing the seas. This jewel of Princess’s fleet has nineteen decks and just over 3,000 berths, offering stunning views, immersive entertainment, and a rich variety of dining options. For Princess, the emphasis on encouraging guests to “Come Back New” is not just a tagline, it’s a promise kept through their commitment to quality.
In that vein, Princess is dedicated to keeping their ships modern, and innovative, which is why the cruise line opted to send the ship into dry dock in October of 2018 for a major makeover.
This $8.2 million dry dock project resulted in even more delicious dining venues on the Ruby Princess! The Salty Dog Grill provides guests with a variety of gourmet burger choices, including the Princess exclusive, “The Ernesto” by expert Chef Ernesto Uchimura. This restaurant also features street tacos, classic hot dogs, and loaded fries. Guests can also enjoy what USA Today calls the “Best Pizza at Sea” at Slice Pizzeria!
For adults, The Mix provides a new top-deck bar for guests to enjoy a tasty drink in a lively and colorful space. To satisfy sugar cravings, Coffee & Cones features a variety of tempting ice cream treats and specialty coffees. Guests can even combine these two treats in frappes, like the Mocha Milkshake!
Beyond these new dining and drink options, families will also enjoy the enhanced surround sound experience while they watch Movies Under the Stars. The kids can also enjoy fully upgraded Camp Discovery clubs, which feature an all-new entertainment system!
The level of comfort on board is getting an upgrade as well! With over 2,000 upgraded furniture items, new Princess Luxury Beds, and upgraded spa facilities guests are certain to be able to relax and rest well throughout their cruise.
