Written by: Sydney M on February 06, 2020
The cruise industry is growing year over year, and cruise lines are paying keen attention to the needs and wants of their guests. With over 30 million people expected to take a cruise in 2020, there’s a need for even more cruise ships to set sail with a wide variety of activities and amenities.
Many of the leading cruise lines have new ships on order and arriving in 2020. Each brings something special for guests to experience, whether it’s the first roller coaster at sea or an expedition ship where every stateroom is a suite.
Celebrity Apex, Celebrity Cruises
Setting sail in March, the Celebrity Apex is the second ship in the cruise line’s new Edge class ships. Like the first ship in this class, the Apex will also feature Infinite Verandah staterooms and the Magic Carpet®. This movable platform adds additional bar and dining space and serves as the boarding and departure platform.
Scarlet Lady, Virgin Voyages
The countdown is on for Virgin Voyages to officially start sailing its first cruise ship, Scarlet Lady. The travel world is anxiously awaiting this adults-only cruise line designed for those who want a rockin’ way to cruise. The Scarlet Lady will feature the first tattoo parlor at sea and 20 dining venues, but no main dining room.
Enchanted Princess, Princess Cruises
Ready for an enchanting cruise? The Enchanted Princess will set sail in June of this year. Complete with the latest MedallionClass features, including The Fastest Internet at Sea and wearable medallions to access your staterooms and stay connected on board. This cruise ship will also have the largest private balconies in the Princess Cruises fleet.
Crystal Endeavor, Crystal Cruises
Are your clients looking for a true luxury experience? Then it’s time to climb aboard the Crystal Endeavor. When this ship sets sail in August, guests will experience an all-suite ship with butler service and a staff to guest ratio of one to one while they embark on expedition voyages around the globe.
Odyssey of the Seas, Royal Caribbean
Welcome to Quantum Ultra Class. When the Odyssey of the Seas sets sail in October it will include the new SeaPlex® where activities like bumper cars, the Flowrider®, and laser tag reign. There’s more to see on board, from robotic bartenders to panoramic views from 300 feet above sea level in the North Star℠ .
Mardi Gras, Carnival Cruise Line
In a cruising first, Carnival’s new cruise ship, the Mardi Gras will have a roller coaster on board! But that’s not the only new element to this incredible ship. Emeril’s Bistro 1936 and other new dining venues will help you refuel after all the fun onboard. We can’t wait to give it a try in November.
